The Vital Baby UV Baby Bottles Steriliser & Dryer is currently 39% off at Amazon for Prime Day, priced at £85.49. The award-winning device uses UV technology to sterilise and dry items without water or steam. Parent testers praised its ease of use but noted capacity limitations.
The Vital Baby UV Baby Bottles Steriliser & Dryer is currently available for £85.49 on Amazon, representing a 39% discount from its recommended retail price of £139.99. This price reduction coincides with Amazon Prime Day and applies to a device that previously won Gold in the MadeForMums Awards for Best Baby Bottle Tech. The significant saving addresses one of the primary criticisms found in independent testing, where the product’s high original price was noted as a barrier despite strong performance ratings.
The steriliser operates using UV technology rather than traditional steam or chemical methods. According to Vital Baby, the device kills 99.99% of germs, bacteria, and viruses in a cycle that takes just 5 minutes. A key feature is its dual function: it sterilises and dries items, eliminating the need for a separate drying rack. Because the process does not involve water, users avoid the regular descaling maintenance required by steam sterilisers. The unit is designed to hold bottles, teats, lids, breast pump parts, soothers, and even household items like phones and make-up brushes.
Independent testing by MadeForMums awarded the product an overall score of 4.4 out of 5. It received perfect scores of 5 out of 5 for both ease of use and durability. Reviewer Amber Manders, who tested the NURTURE Advanced Pro UV Steriliser & Dryer, highlighted the simple set-up and sleek design. She noted that the ability to keep items sterile inside the closed unit for up to 72 hours was particularly useful for batch preparation. Another tester, Shelby, praised the one-button operation, describing it as foolproof and time-saving for parents with young infants.
However, the original review identified value for money as the product’s weakest category, scoring 3.1 out of 5 at the full price. Testers also flagged capacity limitations. Because UV rays must reach all surfaces, items cannot be stacked. Amber found she could fit approximately 4 bottles, 3 teats, and 2 lids, while another tester using larger MAM bottles could only fit 2 bottles. This limitation means parents sterilising large volumes simultaneously may need to run multiple cycles.
This discount is significant because it lowers the barrier to entry for a premium UV sterilisation system. Historically, the high cost of UV technology made it less accessible compared to standard steam sterilisers. By reducing the price to £85.49, Amazon has made a device that eliminates water usage and descaling more competitive. For parents who prioritise convenience and hygiene without the hassle of drying racks, this price point represents a substantial opportunity. The discount effectively neutralises the main criticism from professional testers, who praised the technology but hesitated at the full £139.99 price tag.

Performance and Tester Feedback History
The Vital Baby UV Steriliser & Dryer has a track record of positive independent reviews. It secured Gold for Best Baby Bottle Tech in the MadeForMums Awards, a recognition based on rigorous testing by parents and experts. Awards tester Ama evaluated the device during a period of intense use, sterilising bottles and breast-pump parts for a 3-week-old baby. Her feedback confirmed the device’s reliability in high-frequency scenarios. The product’s design focuses on portability and ease, appealing to parents who want to reduce kitchen clutter. Unlike steam models, the UV approach is dry, which appeals to users frustrated by wet bottles and mineral buildup from hard water. The current sale follows a period where the product maintained its reputation for durability and user-friendly operation despite its premium positioning.
“This steriliser is so quick and easy to use, it makes my life so much easier by saving me time. It’s just one button to turn it on and one button to start the cycle, which is so easy and foolproof.”
— Shelby, MadeForMums parent tester
Stock Availability and Price Duration
It is not confirmed how long the 39% discount will remain active beyond the current Prime Day window. Amazon prices are dynamic and can change or revert to the RRP at any time. Additionally, stock levels are not publicly specified; the product may sell out before the sale ends. Prospective buyers should verify the current price at the point of checkout, as the listed £85.49 was accurate at the time of the report but is subject to change. Whether this specific discount applies to all colour variants or bundle options is also unclear.
Verifying Deal Status Before Purchase
Consumers interested in this deal should check the Amazon product page immediately to confirm the price and availability. Given the limited nature of Prime Day offers, waiting may result in the price returning to £139.99. Buyers should also measure their existing bottles to ensure they fit within the steriliser’s capacity constraints. Since items cannot be stacked, parents with large families or high-volume pumping needs may need to consider if the 4-bottle capacity suits their routine or if they require a larger model. Monitoring for future sales events may be an alternative if the current stock is unavailable.
